Trick "Aargh" Treat!!!, originally uploaded by tlswanwood.

We had such a great time trick or treating! Ellie was old enough now to REALLY enjoy it. We went with our friends Amy, Brian, Julia and Tanner. By the end of the night Julia and Ellie were old pros at ringing door bells or knocking and smiling sweetly for their goodies!

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

Well it has been awhile since I made an entry... We have sold our house and bought the same house we were trying to buy earlier in Camarillo. We then got immediately sick with a horrible and I mean HORRIBLE stomach flu, which hit in the middle of the night simultaneously for both Greg and me. Luckily Ellie didn't get it but we were totally wiped out, crawling around the house... it is awful! We recovered from that, got alittle unpacking done and then Greg got tonsillitis a few days ago. He is still suffering horribly and Ellie seems to have gotten it also, but she is getting better on the anti-biotic. So I am miserably behind at all the unpacking and cleaning. But hopefully we will get healthy for a while and luckily I haven't gotten it (knock on wood).

I am soooooooooooooo bummed! The buyers for our house couldn't secure a loan. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bummed and there is nothing we can do except try to start all over again listing our house. We had a house in Camarillo, we were going to move in on the 8th of December. And now, one week away from the move date, we are hosed. We already paid for an inspection and an appraisal... money down the drain because I expect it will take awhile before we get another reasonable offer on our house and the house we were going to buy surely will not wait for us . Anyway, as you can tell I am very depressed about it.

I had a great weekend. It was very relaxed, we went to our favorite local park on Saturday. It is a rare find in Los Angeles in that is is large and green with many old shade trees. It is a wonderful place to take a stroll and have a picnic.

Here we are at the park this last Saturday :-)

OMG It was the scariest poo *ever*! I just thought I would share... yesterday Ellie totally overfilled her diaper with stinky, brown paste, so different than her previous mostly mild smelling baby poos. Guess the solid food is finally kicking in :-(

Well I have been super busy as you might have guessed by my absence... We have gotten a huge amount of packing done so the house looks much better. You know how empty those model homes are so we are trying to duplicate that. We don't want all the clutter around AND it will make it easier to keep clean while we are showing it. It is getting really close to looking good enough to list. I can only hope it doesn't take forever to sell and that we find *something* comparable in Camarillo. We were considering Oxnard but Greg looked into the schools and it is just night and day so we will be in Camarillo.

Graduation was great, the ceremony was nice and short and is was alot of fun to see all the family and friends that could make it!

Ellie is huge! She has outgrown most 3-6 month old outfits and the 6-9 are getting snug unless they are 2 peices.. she also has mega thighs (turkey drum sticks) so somethings just get too tight around them. Her teething is getting to be a real pain for her, on days when it is really miserable we give her a single dose of tylenol and that helps. I hope they cut through soon and that she will get a break for awhile before they start hurting again. So far I am not seeing anything obvious in there to indicate immediate erruption.

So far she is standing like crazy, if you hold her hands and say up up up, and then pull her up she will go straight to a stand and stand there until you get tired. She will make little stepping motions. And the only support is our holding her hands. She isn't so keen about crawling yet but she is almost sitting alone. She is soooo close maybe by 6 months. She has been doing pretty good with all the house work we have had to do. She has started doing that thing where she wakes up in the morning and just spends some time looking around and not crying... so cute and sooooo nice to get to sleep even longer! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CJ!!!! June 11!!! Hope it was fun!

My Angel has been eating rice cereal since Monday.  She doesn't always get alot down, just depends on the day.  Click Here for Ellie's first cereal

She has been laughing since May 6th.  Well not continuously since then, that would be a very long laugh.  No, she laughes very sparcely, maybe ten times since then. Click Here for Laughing

And Rolling over since Tuesday (Back to front).Click Here for Ellie's first Rolling Over

It is so fun when the little littles do something new :)

Oh it is an exciting time. Graduation season! I am walking my graduation June 9th for my PH.D. Greg is walking in CSUCI as a Marshall, he is excited he bought his robes for it. And we have a friend graduating from CSUN with her Masters degree. The best part of summer is that Greg will not be teaching so we can get our house on the market :) I am so ready to move closer to CSUCI! Tired of missing Greg while he drives to hours a day. Not to mention the weather there is soooooo much better! It is usually 20 degrees cooler there :) instead of 90 it is 70 instead of 100 it is 80!

Ellie had her 4 month doctor's appt. she is 25.5 inches and 16lbs. 2oz. She loves standing but of course she can't do it on her own. She stands in her walker but sher prefers human help :) She just started rice cereal today, so far she isn't so sure. She has only had one serving in a bottle with mommy's milk a and she ate half of it. She has almost outgrown her infant car seat so I have another one on the way in the mail. Britax Roundabout Cowmooflague! So cute :) and it should last awhile! I can wait for it to get here.

Ugh! Ellie has been so grumpy the last couple days! So draining! I don't know what it is, maybe teething...if it doesn't get better soon, I am going to make an appointment with her doctor.

Ellie's hair is starting to grow so far it looks like it is going to be blonde. Her eyes look to me like they are changing but I can't tell where they are going yet...maybe more greenish.

My little angel slept for 9.5 hours last night! That is a new record for her! So I am pretty excited about that :) We are planning to go to the Ren Fair this Saturday it is supposed to be nice and cool, 66F and partly cloudy... perfect weather. I hope it isn't too sunny for my munchkin. So I made a beautiful Ren Fair outfit last year, and when I tried it on the other day the vest didn't even make it half way around my gianormous milk breasts! LOL So I am not going to be able to wear that this year :( I will have to figure something else out instead. At least I can still wear the dress part, I just need something other than the vest. I think I can wear a scarf tighted around my bossom instead and then I can use that to cover me when I breast feed by untiing it and draping it over me. I think it will work well and it doesn't look awful, not nearly as nice as the vest that was made to go with the dress, but oh well, Ellie seems to think it is worth the loss to have her yummy milky mommy.

We had a nice Easter. Mamo, mom, Thea, and Kailee came over and we had strawberry shortcake :) Yum!!!! Unfortunately mamo had to go into the hospital yesterday, but she is doing good, a big releif!

Whoopy!!! I woke up this morning (Admittedly a bit groggy) to my happy baby and the pitter patter of rain drops on my roof! *sigh* It is amazing to me how I can be super tired one minute and then a few baby smiles later awake, happy, and ready to go! LOL Motherhood is wonderful.

Hmmm ... well this is my first on-line journal, I hope to keep it somewhat up to date. But I make no promises! :D Today is layed back, as most days are. Ellie was a bit fussier yesterday so far today is better, I think she was just getting hot. Amazing how sensitive our little wee ones are!
